Updated: Jun 21, 2020
A tasty treat for any occasion. Well, for your dogs.
1 lb beef liver
1/4 cup canola or other vegetable oil
2 Tbsp honey
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 Tsp baking powder
1. Preheat oven to 350F 2. Throw the liver into a food processor and blend it with the oil, eggs and honey till liquified (it looks like a CSI Crime scene at this point). 3. Slowly add in flour and baking powder 4. Spread the batter into a 8 X 8 inch glass baking dish that you have LIBERALLY coated with a non stick spray. 5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the top is springy to the touch or do the knife test. 6. Cool and cut up into small treats.
Fridge and Freezer Instructions
The Yummy Doggy Liver Brownies only last in the fridge for about 5 days before getting moldy so make sure to freeze the extras. They freeze beautifully. I make up a bunch in separate freezer bags and always take a bag with me when doing a private lesson. I am always asked what type of treat I am using as all dogs just go bananas for them!
